Sligo is all set to celebrate ‘Virtual Diwali’ today

The Indian Association of Sligo celebrates Diwali virtually. The function will happen today, November 15 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Indian Ambassador to Ireland  Mr. Sandeep Kumar will address the Indian community during the virtual gathering. The program will be streamed live on Facebook.

The live-streamed  Diwali celebration will be the first of its kind for the city which is used to playing host to one of the biggest public celebrations outside of  Dublin.

The event will feature religious elements alongside an exciting entertainment package featuring artists and performers from the community. Different events like Lakshmi Puja, Cultural Program, Quiz and Bingo will be held during ‘Virtual Diwali.’

The program is supported by the Embassy of India, Dubin, and sponsored by Jince Vogue Photography, Joy Kitchen, Bayview Stores, Gala Retails, Church Street Dental, Spice India, and Sligofuels. ie.

Final preparations are advancing under the leadership of Aby Mariam Varghese, (Cultural Secretary) and team.
