Chasing Delhi’s target of 158, Punjab could only manage 157 for the loss of eight wicket. Mayank Agarwal’s lone knock gave hopes for the Punjab team and their fans, but the final over took an unexpected turn as both Mayank and Jordan lost their wickets in the last two balls.

Mayank hit 89 off 60 balls, including four sixes and seven fours and the dismissal came on the heels of a run off two balls to win. The match extended into a super over when Rabada took the catch of Chris Jordhan.

Punjab failed to cash in the early good start they got, they score 30 runs of 4.2 overs without losing a wicket. But after this they wasted four wickets while adding five runs to the score board. Captain KL Rahul (21), Karun Nair (1), Nicholas Puran (0) and Glenn Maxwell (1) were out in quick successions.
