Sysco Announces 50 New Jobs in the Limerick Facility Amid a Multi-Million Euro Investment

Sysco, the food service provider, has revealed plans to create 50 new job opportunities at its primary support and regional distribution facility in Newcastle West, Limerick. This expansion, part of a multi-million euro investment, will raise the facility’s workforce to 400, contributing to Sysco’s total employment of 1,550 across nine sites throughout the country. The company is actively recruiting for various positions within the organisation.

Mark Lee, CEO of Sysco Ireland, emphasised the significance of this investment and job creation programme, underlining their steadfast commitment to Newcastle West and their ambitious growth plans nationwide. Sysco sees itself as a people-centric business, dedicated to nurturing top talent and ensuring that employees can fulfil their potential.

This announcement coincides with the ongoing renovation and refurbishment of the Newcastle West site, encompassing modern office spaces, a new entrance, and an expanded parking area equipped with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan welcomed this development, recognising the positive impact it will have on the region’s economy.
