Telugu people living in the country of Ireland celebrated the centenary birthday of telugu pride, legendary actor, and pioneer in politics the great Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao often referred to by his initials NTR.
Dr. Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao is a Padmasree awardee who floated a political party named “Telugu Desam” which came into power within nine months since its inception which is a remarkable feat in the history of India.
This event took place at well-known Phoenix Park located in Dublin, the capital of Ireland. It is remarkable that it was held in a pleasant atmosphere amid nature’s beauty, this is first of its kind to celebrate telugu community event outdoor.
Telugu people participated in a large number and paid tribute to renowned NTR, remembered the special services provided by NTR to Telugu states, his contributions to telugu film industry, his welfare and socio-economic policies* *implemented during his regime as a chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
People shared their sweet memories of shri NTR, his achievements, dedication, exemplary lifestyle, and his commitment to serve the telugu people.
Participants enjoyed traditional telugu delicacies served after the event.
The event concluded in a joyful way, it is decided unanimously that a delegation from telugu people shall meet Indian Ambassador in Ireland and submit a petition requesting for the nomination of prestigious “BHARAT RATNA” award to NTR.
