The Defense Minister said that the Indian Army had repulsed the Chinese attack in a timely manner

New Delhi: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made a statement on the India-China conflict in the Lok Sabha. He claimed that the Indian soldiers were not seriously injured in the Tawang clash and that they defended themselves in a timely manner.

China tried to change the status quo on the border. However, the Indian army was able to repel the Chinese attack in time. Our soldiers were not seriously hurt. Kudos to the Indian forces for dealing a strong retaliatory blow to the Chinese forces. They have not given away even an inch of land. Parliament and the country must unite in support of the soldiers. The issue has been discussed with the Chinese government through diplomatic channels. “The army is ready to face any challenge,” said the Defense Minister.

The Defense Minister had been scheduled to make a statement in the House at 2 p.m. But considering the seriousness of the matter, the administration had requested the Speaker make the statement at 12.30. Home Minister Amit Shah stepped forward to criticise the opposition for making noise about the issue. He said that the opposition’s action of not allowing free time was condemnable. The Congress is worried about the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation question coming up in the House. Amit Shah also accused the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation of receiving a Rs 1.35 crore donation from the Chinese Embassy in 2005-07.

On the 9th of this month, a few soldiers from both sides were injured in a clash between the soldiers of the two countries on the India-China border in Tawang, Arunachal, Army sources said. The conflict resulted in an attempt by the Chinese soldiers to invade the Indian side. Army sources said that both groups retreated from the conflict zone within a short time.
