There are indications that the Help-to-Buy scheme, developed by the Irish government to encourage those looking to buy new homes, may be extended to next year.
The scheme, which allows homebuyers to claim up to 30,000 in tax rebates on the price of a new home, was due to end in December.
However, political sources said the plan could be extended in the improved ratings presented as part of the government’s July stimulus package.
It is not clear how long the project will last. But government sources said the budget would be presented on the 13th of this month.
