Those waiting for decision letter in Ireland will receive it soon; NMBI deploys more staff

DUBLIN: The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is pushing hard to make the Decision Letter available by September to eligible candidates awaiting nursing recognition in Ireland.

The applications of hundreds of people who applied after March have not yet been fully verified. Following this, those who sought information via e-mail to the Nursing Board did not receive a satisfactory response. This was due to a staff shortage.

But the Nursing Board has stepped up its efforts to review applications by deploying more staff in the first week of August. The process of issuing maximum decision letters before September is currently underway.

Fraud in the name of  health department

Meanwhile, several applicants have complained that some fraudsters in India are engaging with the promise of helping in the speeding up of decision letter processing through the recommendation of the Irish Department of Health.

They are demanding Rs 5,000 from applicants in exchange for a promise to assist them in sending a letter from the health department to the nursing board in order for them to receive the decision letter as soon as possible. Several candidates have come forward with similar allegations.
