“TikTok Announces Global Job Cuts; Dublin Headquarters to Be Affected”

TikTok is set to implement a global restructuring plan that will result in several hundred job cuts worldwide, with some of these redundancies affecting personnel at its Dublin headquarters, according to sources.

The exact number of job reductions in Ireland as part of this global reorganisation is currently uncertain, as the process of redundancy necessitates undergoing the requisite consultation procedures. Presently, TikTok employs approximately 3,000 individuals in Ireland.

In response to inquiries, a TikTok spokesperson stated, “As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of the TikTok community, we are initiating changes within our Training and Quality team aimed at enhancing our quality assurance procedures.”

The spokesperson emphasised the company’s dedication to supporting impacted employees during this transitional period, with a focus on mitigating the effects of these changes. Furthermore, the spokesperson affirmed the enduring significance of Ireland as a pivotal hub for TikTok, asserting ongoing recruitment efforts across various functions within the organisation.
