Kilkenny: A young man from Elanji Perumbadavam, Ernakulam, (Kerala), tragically passed away in Kilkenny after suffering a heart attack just hours before he was set to return home. The deceased has been identified as Malaikunnel Aneesh Sreedharan (38).
The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday in Kilkenny town. Aneesh, a chef at a local restaurant, was on his way to bid farewell to colleagues when he suffered a fatal heart attack while driving. Losing control of his vehicle, he crashed into a shop wall. Emergency responders arrived at the scene but were unable to save his life.
Aneesh, the son of K.J. Sreedharan and Shantha, moved to Ireland three years ago. He was an active and well-loved member of the Kilkenny Malayali Association, participating in various community events and building strong friendships within the local Indian community. His sudden passing has left the community in deep shock and mourning.
He is survived by his wife, Jyothi, a nurse at St. Luke’s General Hospital in Kilkenny, and their two children, Shivanya (8) and Sadvik (10 months). The family wishes to hold his funeral in their hometown in Kerala.
Arrangements are currently underway for a public viewing in Kilkenny. His remains are being kept in the morgue, and the Kilkenny Malayali Association has stated that the date for the public viewing will be announced in due course.
