Transport for Ireland invites; TFI Leap Card users to bring a +1 for free this February

DUBLIN: TFI is offering any Leap Card-using passenger on Ireland’s public transport system a free ride with them if they travel during the February Bank Holiday weekend (February 4, 5, and 6).

TFI has promised that anyone who uses a Leap card can choose someone to travel with them on TFI bus and train services for free as part of the TFI +1 promotion. This offer is valid from Saturday, 4th, to Monday, 6th, which is a public holiday. With this offer, you can travel with a friend to any location that accepts the Leap card.

How to Take Advantage of the Offer.

The Leap Card +1 offer will be available on bank holidays in Ireland on February 4th, 5th, and 6th.
When presenting the Leap card for the journey, you must also be accompanied by a free travel companion. Make sure to inform the driver that you have +1 in order to take advantage of the bus offer.

When you use your Leap card at the validator to end your journey on DART or Luas, your partner can simply travel as usual. Staff will be there to check the card at the train stations.

Where can I get this deal?

This offer is valid on TFI services including Dublin Bus Services, Bus Eireann, Luas, Dart, and commuter rail.

This offer also includes the routes listed below:

Kilkenny City, Routes KK1 / KK2 operated by City Direct;

Limerick City – Castletroy Route 310 operated by Dublin Coach;

Naas – Blanchardstown Route 139 operated by JJ Kavanagh.

This scheme is being implemented to encourage more people to use public transportation. TFI reduced bus, train, and RAM fares by 20% last year. Officials from the Department of Transportation stated that efforts to improve public transportation will continue.
