Vaibhav Suryavanshi smashed a blistering 144 off just 42 balls to lead India A to a commanding 148-run victory over the UAE in their Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 opener in Doha.
After captain Jitesh Sharma opted to bat, India A piled up a colossal 297/4 in 20 overs, driven by Suryavanshi’s explosive knock featuring 11 fours and 15 sixes. He reached his half-century in 17 balls and his century in only 32. He also added a 163-run stand with Naman Dhir (34), while Jitesh Sharma’s unbeaten 83 off 32 ensured a massive finish.
In reply, UAE managed 149/7, with Sohaib Khan top-scoring with 63. Gurjapneet Singh starred with the ball for India A, returning 3/18 to seal a dominant opening win.
