Xocean, based in Louth, to create 300 jobs in the marine-tech space

Xocean, a firm based in Louth that offers clients with turnkey ocean data, has announced the creation of 300 new jobs. The announcement coincided with the formal launch of the company’s new marine robotics technology facility in Rathcor, Co. Louth.

The hub will be a base for Xocean’s staff of engineers and robotics experts. The firm has already increased its personnel in recent years, more than doubling its workforce to more than 200 in the last year. It intends to expand its staff to 500 over the next two years. Some of the current job openings are remote, while others are onsite.

As part of this round of hiring, the company is searching for engineers, technicians, data analysts, project managers, geophysicists, field operators, and trained mariners in all areas of its business.

Founded in 2017, the business has offices in the UK, Canada, Norway and Australia as well as in Ireland.
