Yellow status alert in 18 counties, including Dublin

DUBLIN: Met Eireann issued Status Yellow warning for 18 counties, including Dublin. The warning will take effect from 6 am tomorrow and will continue until 6 pm.

Met Eireann said there will be strong snowfall in the counties such as Galway, Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and Rose Common, along with Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Dublin, Carlow, Kildare, Portlaoise, Longford, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath and Meath.

Tonight will be generally dry weather but will change later. In many areas the temperature will drop to -1C.

The spread of rain, sleet and snow will be more widespread tomorrow morning.
