Dublin: Met Éireann has issued a yellow weather alert for eight counties across Ireland today due to the risk of heavy rainfall.
Initially, a yellow alert was in place for Counties Cork and Kerry, effective from midnight until 2 p.m. today. The warning has now been extended to include Carlow, Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford, and Wicklow, where it will remain in effect from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Met Éireann has warned of localised flooding, travel disruptions, and poor visibility as a result of the expected downpours. The public is advised to exercise caution while travelling and to stay updated on the latest weather advisories.
