Chance of heavy rain in 12 counties; Met Éireann issued Status Yellow alert

DUBLIN: Met Éireann warns of heavy rain in the north of Ireland today (Wednesday).

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow warning in 12 counties, including all counties in Connaught, including Cavan, Monaghan, Donegal, Longford, Louth, Westmeath and Meath, from 6 pm today (Wednesday) to 6 am tomorrow (Thursday).

In addition, Met Éireann says there is a possibility of heavy snowfall throughout the night in Ulster.

At the same time, floods are expected in low-lying areas due to the possibility of heavy rains with thunderstorms.

Met Éireann forecast clear weather during the day on Wednesday, but the weather will be cloudy by noon and then heavy rain by 6 pm. The temperature ranges from 7 degrees to 12 degrees. The meteorologists also warns of heavy rain throughout the night.
