Live Suicide; Mumbai police foiled a suicide attempt as per the information received from Ireland

Mumbai: Police have rescued a young man who tried to commit suicide live on Facebook. The 23-year-old from Mumbai was rescued by the timely intervention of the Mumbai police.

The reason for this is a Facebook employee in Ireland.

Dhyaneshwar Patil, a native of Dhule, Mumbai, committed suicide by slitting his throat on Facebook Live. The incident took place around 8.10 pm on Sunday.

This live post was seen by an employee of Facebook’s Ireland office. He informed the cyber police that the incident took place near Mumbai.

The cyber unit found out the exact location of the youth and informed the Nashik SP. At around 9 pm, a team of police arrived at the young man’s home and rushed him to the hospital.

Police said the young man’s life was saved after he was given emergency treatment. They also said that the young man overcame the danger.

It is alleged that the youth was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the suicide attempt. Unemployed and dropping out of college, his mother said he had tried to commit suicide before.
