Dublin: New research from AIB reveals that one in five Irish adults are saving over €125 monthly, with 10% saving more than €500, despite ongoing cost-of-living pressures. However, nearly two-thirds have never invested, largely due to a lack of knowledge.
While two-thirds believe that not investing may mean missing out on opportunities to grow their money, four in ten say they would consider investing if they could contribute small monthly amounts rather than a lump sum.
The study also highlights a digital shift, with 75% of adults primarily managing their finances via mobile apps, especially among those aged 25–44.
Ciara Ryan, AIB’s Head of Wealth and Insurance, emphasised the bank’s commitment to improving financial confidence through digital tools and personalised advice, aiming to make investment guidance more accessible and understandable for all customers.
