Dublin: Hundreds of food enthusiasts queued for hours in cold and rainy conditions to experience the much-anticipated arrival of In-N-Out Burger in the Irish capital.
The one-day pop-up event drew large crowds from early morning, with queues forming at least two hours before opening. By 10:30 a.m., the line had stretched nearly 200 metres through the city’s financial district, as eager customers waited despite harsh weather conditions along the River Liffey.
The pop-up attracted a diverse crowd, including locals and international visitors, all keen to sample the iconic California-based burger brand.
Founded in the 1940s, In-N-Out Burger has achieved cult status over the decades, gaining recognition not only among fast-food fans but also in popular culture. The brand has featured in films such as The Big Lebowski and is a regular highlight at high-profile events, including Oscars after-parties. Recently, actor Michael B. Jordan made headlines after opting for the chain’s burgers following an awards celebration.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has also praised the chain, describing its offerings as among the best burgers he has tasted.
Given the limited one-day opening, organisers implemented strict first-come, first-served service, with some customers placing orders in groups. By mid-morning, chefs had begun preparing and serving burgers to the waiting crowd.
Attendees included not only Dublin residents but also visitors from California, Portugal, and Cork, reflecting the brand’s international appeal.
The event marked the chain’s return to Dublin after a previous pop-up two years ago and has been described as one of the most notable promotional food events in the city in recent times.
