Despite the recent warmth, forecasters have warned of a more unsettled pattern in the coming days, with a mix of sunshine, cloud, and periods of rain expected across the country.
Monday is forecast to be the driest day of the week, though cooler conditions are expected in northern counties, including Sligo. While largely dry, there remains a slight chance of light rain. Night-time temperatures are expected to drop by 5 to 8 degrees, with patchy mist and fog in some areas.
Tuesday is expected to bring the most settled weather of the week, with sunshine and scattered clouds. Temperatures will range between 13°C and 18°C, with the warmest conditions in western regions. Dry and clear conditions are expected to continue overnight, with temperatures dipping to between 4°C and 7°C.
Wednesday will remain largely dry and sunny during the day, though cloud cover is expected to increase in southern areas later, with the possibility of rain overnight. Daytime highs will range from 12°C to 17°C, again with warmer conditions in the west.
Looking ahead to Thursday, conditions become more uncertain. Current indications suggest a cloudy day with widespread rain, particularly in northern areas. Temperatures are expected to remain relatively mild, ranging between 12°C and 16°C.
