Dublin: House prices in Ireland continue their upward trend, with residential property prices increasing by 8.1% over the 12 months to January, according to the latest Central Statistics Office (CSO) figures.
In Dublin, house prices rose by 7.5%, while property prices outside the capital saw a slightly higher increase of 8.6%. The national average house price in January stood at €359,999.
Regional House Price Variations
The highest average house price was recorded in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown (€662,349), while the lowest was in Leitrim (€180,000).
Within Dublin, Blackrock (A94) emerged as the most expensive area, with an average house price of €743,500. Meanwhile, Clones (H23) recorded the lowest average price at €133,000.
Outside the capital, the border counties of Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, and Sligo experienced the largest price increases, rising by 12%. In contrast, the Mid-East regions of Kildare, Louth, Meath, and Wicklow recorded the smallest price rise, at 5.8%.
