Dublin: Marks & Spencer has announced a recruitment drive to hire 210 seasonal employees in Ireland, aiming to meet the increased demand during the Christmas and New Year period. These customer assistant roles, available in 16 stores nationwide, will focus on the food, clothing, and home departments. Responsibilities will include customer service and maintaining fully stocked, organised shelves, ensuring customers have access to essential festive items.
The new hires are expected to begin in mid-November, bolstering staff to ensure timely delivery of holiday essentials across Ireland. John Paul McShane, Regional Manager for Marks & Spencer Ireland, noted that many employees who initially joined in seasonal positions have since progressed to managerial roles, emphasising the opportunities for career advancement within the company.
