Dublin: Software firm Quest has opened a new Centre for Advanced AI at its Cork facility, creating around 100 high-skilled jobs. The centre will focus on applied research and development in artificial intelligence across data management, cybersecurity and modern software platforms.
The Cork hub forms part of Quest’s $350 million global investment programme announced earlier this year and is supported by IDA Ireland. Teams based at the centre will work in AI engineering, data science, software development and security to drive next-generation innovations for customers.
The launch was attended by EU Commissioner Michael McGrath, who described the project as a significant investment in skills, talent and innovation, aligning with Europe’s push to expand AI expertise. Minister for Enterprise Peter Burke said the expansion underlines Ireland’s reputation as a global hub for technology and innovation.
Quest CEO Tim Page said the investment will help the company deliver trusted AI solutions while supporting the development of future AI and cybersecurity professionals through partnerships with Irish universities.
