The Irish Prison Service has confirmed that a number of staffs at Wheatfield Prison in Dublin have tested positive for Covid-19.
They said that they are working with the HSE and the Public Health to trace the contacts.
They also confirmed that at present there aren’t any cases of Covid infections among inmates in the prison. All staffs and inmates will now be tested as per the guidelines.
the IPS also confirmed that an Outbreak Control Team has been established at the prison.
