WHO warns of two million deaths if not all nations are united against COVID-19

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned of a possible two million deaths if all the nations do not work together to fight the COVID pandemic.

Meanwhile, the number of deaths due to COVID in the world is approaching 10 lakh.

‘More one million lives could be lost if different countries and individuals of the world did not stand together. It will be a horrible situation. Can’t even think of another million people dying from COVID infection’ – said WHO Executive Director, Michael Ryan.

Further deaths could be avoided to some extent if the all nations move forward together with COVID preventive measures.

Ryan also pointed out that such a high mortality rate would occur if no preventive measures were taken.

There have been one million deaths in the last nine months. And if the vaccine is not found, everyone should think what’s going to happen in the next nine months. He added that this requires the involvement of every individuals.

So far, 9.85.823 lives have been claimed as a result of the outbreak of the COVID pandemic in China in December 2019. A total of 3,24,29,965 people have been infected so far.
