India Masters Triumph Over West Indies Masters to Clinch Inaugural IML Title

India Masters secured a commanding six-wicket victory over West Indies Masters in the final of the inaugural International Masters League (IML) on Sunday. Chasing a target of 149, India Masters comfortably reached 150/4 in 17.1 overs, courtesy of a stellar knock by Ambati Rayudu, who scored 74 off 50 deliveries.

Earlier in the match, disciplined bowling performances from Vinay Kumar and Shahbaz Nadeem helped restrict West Indies Masters to 148/7 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Lendl Simmons (57 off 41) and Dwayne Smith (45 off 35) contributed valuable runs, but Kumar’s impressive spell of 3/26 and Nadeem’s economical 2/12 ensured that the opposition was kept in check.

With this victory, India Masters etched their name in history as the first-ever champions of the International Masters League.
