Dublin: Dublin City Council is set to launch a new late-night support initiative, the Dublin Nights Help Zone, aimed at assisting individuals in need during nights out.
Operating as a free service, the welfare zone will be located on Camden Street and run every Friday and Saturday from 10pm to 3am, starting July 4th for a six to eight-week pilot.
Staffed by professionals and volunteers, the zone will provide first aid, welfare support, and security. Dublin Night-Time Economy Advisor, Ray O’Donoghue, described it as a “stop-gap between venues and emergency services” to ensure help is visible and accessible in the city’s nightlife scene.
