Air Canada will introduce a new direct service between Shannon and Toronto from June 2027, with three flights a week operating between June and October.
The route will connect Shannon Airport with Toronto Pearson International Airport, using the new Airbus A321XLR, designed for long-haul travel.
Shannon Airport said the service will be the only direct connection between Shannon and Canada, while also providing passengers with onwards connections across North and South America.
Airport officials expect the route to boost tourism and strengthen economic links between Ireland and Canada, particularly benefiting destinations across the west and south of Ireland.
Air Canada said demand for travel between Ireland and Canada has grown steadily, with the new service offering greater transatlantic travel options for passengers in the region.
