Chance of heavy rain and wind; Yellow alert in Ireland

Met Éireann has issued a yellow alert in Ireland today due to the possibility of heavy rain and wind. The alert is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Extreme winds of up to 90 kmph are expected in the south-western part of the country and in the western part of the country. Met Éireann also said the wind could cause widespread damage.

The weather will be cloudy from morning. Heavy rains are also expected in various parts of the country. However, Met Éireann said it would be clear in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Met Éireann’s meteorologist said there was a possibility of heavy rains with thunderstorms in the northern and western parts of the country.

Today’s temperature will range from 10 to 13 degrees.

Met Éireann also predicts isolated thundershowers in various parts of the country until Sunday.

The maximum temperature on this day is nine to 12 degrees. Strong winds are also expected along the southern coast of the country.

Marine warnings are in place from 5pm today as strong winds are expected along the Irish coast.
