Massive fire at industrial estate in Tallaght! Several buildings were evacuated

Massive fire at industrial estate in Tallaght. The fire broke out in a warehouse in Cookstown around 7pm last night. The preliminary conclusion is that no one was injured.

It was reported that a small amount of smoke first rose from the building and immediately caught fire.

Fire brigade alerted locals and evacuated several nearby buildings as heavy smoke spread for miles following the blaze.

The fire was brought under control after eight units, including two large aerial equipment from the Dublin Fire Brigade, arrived and worked for hours.

The fire brigade had also warned to close the windows and doors of the houses as heavy smoke had spread in the area during the adverse weather.

The visibility of the M50 motorway was affected by the strong smoke spreading for miles following the wind.

The fire brigade tweeted that motorists should be careful as their sight might be blocked due to smoke and that people should close the doors and windows of the house as a precaution if they smell smoke.

However, the cause of the fire is not clear. The fire brigade estimates the damage caused by the fire. Traffic restrictions continued late into the night in the area due to heavy smoke.
