New Delhi: Air India is launching new non-stop flights from India to US and European cities. The company expects the new nonstop flights to New York, Milan, Vienna, Copenhagen, Paris, and Frankfurt to be a significant step forward.
The new service between Mumbai and New York will begin on February 14, 2023. The daily service to John F. Kennedy International Airport will be provided by a B777200LR. With the resumption of these flights, Air India will have flights to all seven cities in Europe. There will be 79 nonstop flights per week. There will be 48 flights to the United Kingdom and 31 to Europe.
Air India has also announced the launch of new nonstop flights from Mumbai to New York, Paris, and Frankfurt, as well as from Delhi to Copenhagen, Milan, and Vienna. Air India CEO Campbell Wilson stated that the decision was made to move forward by leasing new aircraft and activating existing aircraft.
This is in addition to Air India’s current daily service from Delhi to John F. Kennedy International Airport and four weekly flights to Newark Liberty Airport.
This brings the total number of nonstop flights between India and the United States to 47 per week.
From February 1, there will be four new weekly flights between Delhi and Milan, as well as three weekly flights between Delhi and Vienna and Delhi and Copenhagen, beginning February 18 and March 1, respectively.
There will be three new weekly flights between Mumbai and Paris.
Four new weekly flights between Mumbai and Frankfurt are also planned. Air India’s B7878 Dreamliner aircraft will operate the service, which will have 18 business class seats and 238 economy class seats. But the schedule has not been decided yet, the company said.
