Dublin: Tesco Ireland is set to hire 1,200 temporary employees to manage the anticipated Christmas and New Year demand across its Superstores and Extra locations. Maurice Kelly, People Director at Tesco Ireland, stated that these temporary roles may offer priority consideration for future permanent positions.
Research from a leading hiring platform suggests a slight dip in part-time holiday recruitment overall, with a reported 3% decrease in temporary roles compared to last year. However, there has also been a notable 5% increase in inquiries for seasonal part-time positions.
