Colours, happiness, laughter! KASSI Holi Celebrations 2023 Soaks In Its Fervour

Indians in Dundalk (Kassi) is an Indian organization for all Indians living in County Louth, Ireland. It celebrated the Holi Festival ( Festival of Colours) that is being celebrated all over the world by Indian communities. We celebrated Holi on Sunday, 5^th March, 2023 at St. Catherine GAA Hall, Dundalk from 1PM till 6pm.

Dr. Dilip Mahapatra , Dr. Pardeep Sayal, and Mr. Durgesh Tiwari welcomed the distinguished guests, Mr. Fergus O’Dowd, TD, Ged Nash, TD, Garda Damien Welby and Sgt. Declan Brady from the Dundalk Garda Division .

The event was hosted by Mrs. Bindu Nair, who was the anchor for the Holi event.

Children activities, Adult activities, Bingo, Antakshri, and Holi activities excited everyone. We played the Holi colours activities outside in the playgrounds. Young children enjoyed every moment of it. Indian cuisine dinner was prepared by Sitar Restaurant from Dundalk. It was arranged and served by Manju Roy, Prashant Nair, Mihir Sajip, Kartik Chaudhary, Vighnesh Nayak, Cibin Denny, Naman Shrivastava and the team.

The entire event was possible due to the whole hearted participation of our directors and volunteers which included Pardeep Sayal, Sonal Shrivastava, Ravikant Pandey, Pujan Srivastava, Manju Roy, Durgesh Tiwari, Kritika Habib, Nikita Dhadwal, Rishi Sobrun, Pankaj Samuel, Sikha Pandey, Sachin, Shivam Deshmukh, Jayesh Mistry, Mahendra Mistry, Sahil Kohli, Sakshi Patil, Adele Sobrun, Asha Sobrun, Ashwathi Santhosh, Hitansh Mistry , Kartik Chaudhary, Kavneet Kainth, Kinjal Mistry, Prashant Nair, Sanjita Roy, Shilpi Srivastava, Shushma Santhosh, Ashwini Deshmukh,Aishwarya Nair, Prakash Hiwale, Manisha Hiwale, Priyanshi Kumari, Rinku Tiwari, Vignesh Nayak, Cibin Denny, Surovit Roy, Narendran Sadasivam.

The Holi decorations were designed & prepared by Sonal Shrivastava, Kritika Habib, Nikita Dhadwal, Pardeep Sayal, Shilpi Srivastava, Kinjal Mistry, Shushma Santhosh, Ashwathi Santhosh, Sowmya Shrivastava, Sanjita Roy, Priyanshi kumari, Shikha Pandey, Rinku Tiwari, Kavneet kainth, Shivam Deshmukh ,Ashwini Deshmukh, Prashant Nair, Prakash Hiwale, Manisha Hiwale, Aishwarya Nair, Mihir Sajip.

For the listeners of Dundalk FM radio, the concept of celebration of Holi was explained in the studio by Kassi Team members Shilpi Srivastava, and Narendran Sadasivam and it was further elaborated by Kritika Habib, Bindu Nair , Adele Sobrun and Karan on the day of our celebrations at Geraldine GAA club Haggadstown.

A vote of thanks was given by Mr. Durgesh Tiwari and Holi colours was played outside by all Indian families.
