Death Toll Rises in U.S. Plane Crash Near Reagan Airport

Reagan: The death toll from a passenger plane crash near Reagan National Airport in the United States has risen, with 18 bodies recovered so far. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 PM local time when the aircraft collided with a helicopter while attempting to land.

According to international media reports, the American Airlines CRJ 700 was carrying 65 passengers at the time of the accident. Rescue operations are currently underway, with initial findings suggesting that the aircraft crashed into the nearby Potomac River. Recovery teams have retrieved victims from the water, but there is no evidence yet to confirm that the plane made contact with the runway before impact.

The collision occurred at an altitude of 375 feet, and authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
