Demonstration of force in Dublin to protest Gaza attacks, Sinn Féin in support

Dublin: A peaceful protest against Israeli military action in Gaza recently took place in Dublin, drawing the participation of prominent political figures, including opposition leader Mary Lou McDonald and People Before Profit leader Richard Boyd Barrett.

Demonstrators marched through Dublin’s city centre, carrying banners displaying messages of solidarity with Palestinian citizens and Palestinian flags, eventually culminating their march at the Israeli Embassy in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign, which organised the demonstration, used the platform to advocate for a boycott of Israeli goods. Similar marches are also scheduled to occur across the country, with Cork City being one of the planned locations.

Tragically, Palestinian officials reported that Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have resulted in the loss of 2,215 lives, including 724 children. Among those killed, 458 were women. In the past 24 hours alone, the conflict has claimed the lives of at least 324 people, with 8,714 individuals sustaining injuries.

On the Israeli side, more than 1,300 people have been killed and over 3,200 have been wounded in attacks by Hamas militants, as reported by the Israeli army on their official Twitter account.

The situation remains tense as Israel continues to carry out bombing raids within Gaza and engage in firefights with militants in Lebanon. Concurrently, Hamas fighters persist in launching rocket attacks targeting various Israeli cities and territories.
