Dogs can also enjoy the song from now on; World’s first Christmas song for dogs released

From time to time, a number of Christmas songs have been released for human beings. But for the first time in the world a Christmas song for dogs has been released!

The song, titled Raise The Woof! was composed in reggae-style with simple commands and dog-friendly sounds. The song was mastered at the Abbey Road Studios in the UK.

“This is the first ever Christmas song made just for dogs – we made it for our dogs, your dogs, everyone’s dogs. Raise the Woof!,” the song makers said.

The makers say the sounds on the track are the result of two months of work. More than 500 sounds were played on 25 dogs to narrow down the choice for the final track.

An animal behavioral specialist and a veterinarian monitored their responses to the track to ensure that dogs behaved well throughout. The pet food brand tails.com says that alertness, trying to figure out where sounds are coming from, head coking and tail wagging are signs of a positive response in dogs.

Carolyn Menteith, an animal behaviourist who worked on the track’s development, said: “Creating a song just for dogs to enjoy with their families seemed an ideal way to bring some light-hearted fun to a difficult year and get tails wagging nationwide.”

The track is currently available to stream on Spotify and Amazon Music. Also a vinyl copy is available for £10 (€11), the money goes to the wellbeing group Dudes&Dogs.
