Brussels – European Sleeper has announced the launch of a new night train service connecting Belgium and Italy, passing through the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria. The service will commence on February 5, offering travellers a convenient and scenic overnight rail journey between Brussels and Venice.
Route and Schedule
The train will depart Brussels at 6:06 p.m., arriving in Venice at 3:00 p.m. the following day. In the reverse direction, the train will depart Venice at 4:15 p.m. and arrive in Brussels at 12:30 p.m. the next day.
The route will include key stops in:
- Brussels (Belgium)
- Utrecht (Netherlands)
- Cologne (Germany)
- Munich (Germany)
- Innsbruck (Austria)
- Verona (Italy)
- Venice (Italy)
Initially, the night train will operate twice a week in February and March, with the inaugural journey departing from Brussels.
Ticket Pricing and Options
Fares for the Brussels-Venice route start at €100, depending on the type of accommodation chosen:
- €100 – Upright seat in a six-person compartment
- €120 – Couchette bed in a six-person cabin
- €200 – Private cabin with a bed for two passengers
Future Expansion and Seasonal Services
European Sleeper has also announced plans for a seasonal night train to the Austrian Alps and Venice, tailored to accommodate the surge in demand during school holidays and the winter sports season. The company anticipates that this North Sea to Mediterranean rail link will be highly popular among travellers.
The initiative aligns with European Sleeper’s goal of making cross-continental travel more accessible and enjoyable, offering an eco-friendly and comfortable alternative to air travel.
