Filming of Disney movie began in Co Wicklow village

WICKLOW: Filming for the new Disney movie ‘Disenchanted’ began yesterday (Monday, 14th of June) in Co Wicklow. The sequel to the 2007 blockbuster movie ‘Enchanted’ is being shot in the village of Enniskerry.

The final preparations for the shooting of the fairy tale movie lasted till Sunday. Many Disney fans have come from all over the country to see the movie set and their favorite actors, Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey.

The shoot, which started yesterday, will last until Friday, June 18th. Filming will take place between 7 am and 10 pm. The village will be closed for the most of the shoot hours.

The cast and crew will return on July 6 to continue shooting until July 9, after which they will return for another two-day shoot on July 21.

On all shoot dates, Gardai and a traffic control team will assist with traffic diversions, and there will be no parking facility in the village.
