Promotion in the points table for SRH; defeated KXIP by 69 runs

Sun Risers Hyderabad moves on to the third position in the points table of Dream 11 IPL, 2020.

The fantastic win over the Kings XI Punjab on Thursday night helped the orange army to hurdle up to the third position.

Even though SRH is having six points, the net run rate helped them to fly above Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders whom also have six points each.

After winning the toss, SRH captain David Warner decided to bat first on the Dubai wicket.

Both the SRH openers scored half centuries. Captain Warner (52) and Jonny Bairstow (97) began the SRH innings with a century partnership. SRH where able to host a total of 201 for the loss of 6 wickets.

With a fantastic bowling exhibition from the young Ravi Bishnoi (3 for 29)and Arshdeep Singh(2 for 33), KXIP were able to pick wickets and reduce the run flow towards the end.

KXIP was not having the greatest of the start and the end that they have expected. They were all out for 132.

Opener Mayank Agarwal went back to the pavilion early tonight by scoring just 9 runs.

It was Nicholas Pooran who was able to found touch with the bat for the KXIP today. He scored 77 of 37 balls with five fours and seven sixes. But his one man show ended by gifting his wicket to the Afghan spinner Rashid Kahan.

Captain Lokesh Rahul (11), Simran Singh (11), Glenn Maxwell (7), Mandeep Singh (6), Mujeeb Ur Rahman (1), Ravi Bishnoi (6) and all the rest of the tail enders went for a duck.

Rashid Khan picked up three wickets for the SRH. Khaleel Ahmed and T Natarajan picked up two wickets each and Abhishek Sharma picked up one wicket.

Jonny Bairstow was named as the player of the match for his fantastic knock of 97 from 55 balls. In his innings he hilted seven fours and six maximums.
