History Makers; Ireland win 2-1 against Pakistan

In the three-match T20I series, Ireland’s women defeated Pakistan 2-1. Ireland won the series finale by 34 runs on Wednesday, after the series was tied at 1-1 following the first two matches. Ireland batted first, scoring 167/4 in 20 overs, with Gaby Lewis scoring 71 runs off 46 balls. Pakistan were knocked out for 133/10 in 18.5 overs while chasing a 168-run target.

Ireland skipper Laura Delany performed impressively in the third and final T20I on Wednesday, picking up 3/20 in just 2.5 overs. Arlene Kelly, who also took three wickets in the match, joined her. However, Lewis was named player of the match for her match-winning half-century. Lewis was also named player of the tournament as she scored 144 runs in the series at an amazing average of 72.00.
