Joel and Rohit became pride of Indians in Ireland; won second place in junior category at BT Young Scientist Exhibition

DUBLIN: The students of Lucan have become the pride of the Indian community by winning second place in the junior category at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition, Ireland’s largest science fair for discovering new science talent.

Joel Emmanuel and Rohit Tummale, students at Coláiste Phádraig School in Dublin, Lucan, presented one of the best projects in the exhibition and attracted everyone’s attention. Their project was about the effect of the frequency of light on the background radiation inside the cloud chamber.

Joel, the son of Dublin businessman Pala Thengumpalli Emmanuel Joseph and Rita Emmanuel, has already shown his talent by participating in a number of competitions.

Joel represented Ireland at the Brainobrain International Championships in Croatia and Dubai and won first place in the 2018 Malayalam All Ireland Quiz (Junior Section).

Rohit Tummale, who collaborated with Joel on the project, is also an outstanding student. Rohit, son of Murali Krishna and Anita, is from Andhra Pradesh, India.
