Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit France and the United States from February 10 to 13, 2025, the Ministry of External Affairs announced.
In France (February 10–12), at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, PM Modi will co-chair the AI Action Summit in Paris. He will attend a dinner hosted by President Macron at the Élysée Palace with global leaders and tech CEOs. The visit will include bilateral talks, the India-France CEOs Forum, and a trip to Marseille, where both leaders will visit the Mazargues War Cemetery to honour Indian WWI soldiers and inaugurate the new Consulate General of India. They will also tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) in Cadarache, highlighting India’s role in global scientific projects.
Following this, PM Modi will travel to the United States (February 12–13) for an official working visit at the invitation of President Donald Trump, marking his first U.S. trip since Trump’s second term began. PM Modi will hold bilateral meetings with President Trump, engage with senior U.S. officials, business leaders, and interact with the Indian diaspora.
This visit underscores the strategic importance of India’s partnerships with France and the U.S., focusing on technology, defence, and diplomatic cooperation.
