Sachin and Arjun Tendulkar are the first father-son duo who have played in the IPL

When Arjun Tendulkar made his IPL debut on Sunday afternoon for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium, he and Sachin Tendulkar became the tournament’s first father-son duo.

Sachin has also played for Mumbai between 2008 and 2013, gaining 2334 runs in 78 IPL games. He also captained them in 51 matches, winning 30 and losing 21.

Arjun finished the game with a 2-0-17-0 record. He was not required to bat as Mumbai won by five wickets.

Arjun has been bowling at speeds ranging from 128 to 131 km/h, but his inswing and movement off the field have been highlights. His first over scored five runs, including a leg bye.”
