Ten Irish Hotels Achieve Recognition in the Latest Forbes Travel Guide Ratings

Ten Irish hotels have been recognised in the latest Forbes Travel Guide ratings, with Adare Manor and Ashford Castle receiving the prestigious ‘Forbes Five-Star’ accolade. Conrad Dublin and The Merrion are rated ‘Forbes Four-Star’, while several others, including The Shelbourne and The Westbury in Dublin, are recommended by Forbes.

Adare Manor is praised for its blend of Old World luxury and modern hospitality, offering a welcoming atmosphere for both locals and guests. Ashford Castle is lauded for its majestic grounds and impeccable service, providing an unforgettable experience for visitors.

The Forbes Travel Guide ratings are highly respected in the luxury hospitality industry, with properties undergoing anonymous inspections to achieve recognition. Adare Manor’s general manager, Brendan O’Connor, and Ashford Castle’s general manager, Niall Rochford, expressed their pride in receiving the prestigious ratings.

Overall, the 2024 Forbes list includes 2,040 properties worldwide, with only 340 receiving the coveted ‘Forbes Five-Star’ status. Ireland’s Ashford Castle stands out as the country’s only double ‘Forbes Five-Star’ property, with its spa also receiving top honours.

The expansion of ratings into new destinations reflects the increasing efforts of properties to deliver exceptional guest experiences, catering to the evolving preferences of discerning travellers for well-being and authentic experiences.
