Brussels: The European Union will take harsh measures against countries that refuse to cooperate in the fight against illegal immigration to Europe. If non-cooperation in migration matters continues, the EU ministers said, action will be taken by limiting the number of visas granted to the countries in question, so it is the responsibility of the countries in question to accept people from the EU when they are deported to their home countries.

Frontex, the European Union’s border agency, stated that the 330,000 “irregular entries” recorded in 2022 would be the highest since 2016.
