Vodafone Ireland comes up with a new insurance service

Vodafone Ireland comes up with a new insurance service that allows mobile users to start and manage their policy via online and this new feature will also allow the users to pay the bills and payments online.

The handsets will be insured under Vodafone Care. It will insure phones that are up to 12 months old for loss, theft, water damage, etc. Vodafone customers can continue to go for the company’s standard insurance scheme in stores nationwide.

Previously, Vodafone customers were able to insure their handset within 30 days of purchase only. The online process is much more quicker and continent. It also brings in transparency to the process and allows the customers to see their claim progress status in real time.     

For phones costing more than €300, the standard care package is €9.99 per month. Customers can avail of ‘accidental damage cover’ which insures handsets from loss, breakages, falls and water damage.

The Vodafone Care Plus package gives the customers a total protection coverage for their phones. €12.99 per month for phones more than €300 and €5.99 per month for phones under €300.

For all the repairs Vodafone uses genuine parts for repairs and the repairs will be done without affecting the warranty.

Through the website, a customer who has Vodafone Care can make claims 24 hours a day and seven days a week.  

Anita Carr, Vodafone Ireland consumer director said that they are delighted to introduce Vodafone Care to the Irish market to ensure their customers can remain connected and ensure total protection against all eventualities.

She also added that ‘This new service will provide a quick, convenient and transparent insurance process managed through a new dedicated online portal on our website and can be accessed 24 hours a day.’
