Will Wexford be a favourite destination for Indian companies?

WEXFORD: Is Wexford becoming an ideal county for Indian companies? According to the latest reports, the new business prospects at Europort, the growing presence of Indians, and the backing of the County Wexford Chamber and other officials have made the site a favourite of Indian businesses.

There are currently over 45,000 Indians in Ireland. A good percentage of them work in key sectors such as ICT, Healthcare, Engineering and Financial. There are also many Indians in Wexford.

Indian Ambassador to Ireland visited Wexford Chamber

Recently, Indian Ambassador to Ireland Mr Sandeep Kumar visited the offices of the County Wexford Chamber. The purpose of the visit was to overcome the current challenges, provide financial opportunities and strengthen ties between India and the local governing bodies in Wexford.

The main attraction here is the Rosslare Europort, which provides direct access to mainland Europe. The ambassador also visited Rosslare after their meeting.

Deputy CEO of County Wexford Chamber Emma Dunphy said the ambassador was impressed by what Wexford has to offer.

Mr Kumar said Wexford is an attractive place for Indian companies to invest. Wexford offers a number of advantages as a business hub for companies looking for a European presence, he added.

He had spoken with Chamber officials about promoting India in terms of imports and exports, as well as the benefits of expanding into the Indian market for Wexford companies.

The Ambassador also assured that the Wexford Chamber would be open to discussions with the heads of Indian companies currently based in Dublin.
