Workday to Invest €175m and Create 200 New Jobs at AI Centre of Excellence in Dublin

Dublin: Cloud software giant Workday has announced a €175 million investment and the creation of 200 new jobs over the next three years at its AI Centre of Excellence in Dublin’s College Square. The expansion, supported by IDA Ireland, will enhance the company’s focus on AI-driven product development, academic partnerships, and upskilling initiatives.

Workday, which employs 2,200 people in Ireland—with 80% in research and development—said the new centre will be central to developing “the next generation of ERP, built for the AI era,” according to Graham Abell, Vice President of Software Engineering and Ireland Site Lead.

IDA CEO Michael Lohan praised the move as proof of Ireland’s strength in tech innovation, while Minister for Enterprise Peter Burke highlighted Workday’s long-standing presence since its 2008 acquisition of Irish firm Cape Clear, calling the expansion “a major boost for Ireland’s AI leadership.”
