World Lewis Day, marked on November 26, raises awareness about the hundreds of koalas that have died or been displaced as a result of the recent Australian bushfires and motivates individuals to make donations to charitable organisations that are working to support them in any way they can.

- Make a donation to the Australian Koala Foundation.
- Plant eucalyptus in your yard if you live in a koala-inhabited area to provide another source of food. Planting gum trees provides a fighting chance for your local koalas.
