174 Indian students have been awarded the Erasmus Scholarship of the European Union

Brussels: 174 Indian students have been awarded the European Union’s Erasmus scholarship. Girls make up more than half of them. They have achieved this prestigious distinction in their degree programmes, which will begin in the academic year 2023–24. The scholarship was open to students from 21 states, including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Delhi, and Kerala.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships were awarded to 161 Indian students last year. To celebrate this achievement, the Indian delegation of the European Union organised a special programme.

Seppo Nurmi, Chairman of the India-Bhutan Joint Team, said, “We are very happy that more children have won Erasmus Scholarships than last year. Erasmus Scholarships are highly competitive. He also said that it is quite commendable that so many children have been able to achieve it.

France (48), Italy (27), Belgium (20), Finland (11), Spain (10), UK (5), Portugal (17), Netherlands (04), Germany (06), Sweden (02), Austria (06), Denmark (04), Ireland (02), Hungary (02), Turkey (02), Czech Republic (04), Estonia (01), Greece (01), Norway (01), Serbia (01), etc. 2,835 students from 143 countries around the world received scholarships in this programme.

This scholarship is given based on academic achievements, research interests, motivation, and other factors. Documents such as academic transcripts and recommendations must be submitted by applicants.

Undergraduate studies at EU expense

The European Union will cover the entire cost of these students’ studies. It will give you the opportunity to study, research, and earn multiple degrees at two universities in European countries.

The Erasmus+ programme offers students cutting-edge educational opportunities and professional development. There will also be opportunities to learn about Europe’s diverse cultural heritage. 17 different EU countries will host these students for the next two years.
