Diageo to Invest €30M in St James’s Gate to Double Guinness 0.0 Production Amid Rising Demand

Dublin: Diageo is set to invest €30 million in its St James’s Gate brewery to double the production capacity of Guinness 0.0, driven by strong demand for non-alcoholic beverages. This expansion will increase output to 176 million pints annually, with Guinness 0.0 representing 14% of the brewery’s production. This latest funding brings Diageo’s total investment in non-alcoholic Guinness to €60 million since the product’s launch in 2021.

Operations Director Aidan Crowe highlighted Guinness’s commitment to innovation, noting that St. James’s Gate serves as the global centre for Guinness 0.0 production. Tánaiste Micheál Martin welcomed the investment, acknowledging the shift toward moderate drinking among consumers and the economic boost for Dublin 8.
